“ Grew up in Solon where we lived and died by Carlo’s Pizza Bazaar. When home from college my best friend and I would make sure to eat there once a week. When it closed...so did my childhood. Until someone told me about Carmella’s. Another Solon grad who’s a neighbor now in Chagrin was beyond excitement. My wife and I drove the 30 minutes looking forward to dinner and introducing her to the best pizza in Cleveland only to find it was takeaway only. We zipped over the The Standard for a drink then picked up our pies. We couldn’t resist and starting eating as soon as we got on the highway. Needless to say, the pizza didn’t make it back to Chagrin Falls. The sausage, the crust, the cheese...all the same. We’ve ventured back every few weeks when visiting with other Solon friends and everyone is taken back to the 80’s. ”
